Environmental volunteer work, program abroad, overseas in Ghana, Africa is a volunteer program initiated to help protect and conserve the environment. The environment serves as a distinctive and important factor in developing human generation both health wise and cognitive. Environment they say “if protected saves lives” and “the last tree dies the last man dies” but human activities continue to destroy the ecosystem. Cutting down trees unnecessarily, bush burning, pollution, poor farming practices destroy virgin forest into the atmosphere which then depletes of the ozone layer causing global warming.
Activities of Volunteer volunteering on the environmental volunteer program in Ghana,
Environmental volunteer will perform some or all of the following
1) Environmental volunteer will educate rural folks about good environmental practices in other to save and protect the environment
2) Environmental volunteer will sensitize rural folks about good farming practices, good use of fertilizers not to endanger the environment
3) Environmental volunteer will teach rural folks about ways of safeguarding our immediate environment that is appropriate ways of dumping of refuge etc
4) Environmental volunteer will teach in rural schools in other to inculcate in the pupils the value of a trees and the need to protect the environment
5) Environmental volunteer will help plant trees
Typical day of environmental volunteer volunteering in Ghana, Africa
7.00am: Breakfast. Departure to work 12.00pm: Lunch 2.00pm: End of day’s activities 6.00pm: Supper
The itinerary is tentative. Environmental Volunteer works for 6 to 8 hours but does not work on Saturdays and Sundays. This gives you the opportunity to visit local tourist site. Environmental volunteer has minimum of 1 week to maximum of 12 months of volunteering period and will stay with host family or in volunteer house when is a group.
